Youth Group

Jesus said “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind and you shall love your neighbor as yourself."   Matthew 22:37 & 39   New American Bible Revised Edition

God made me to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in heaven. To save our souls, we must believe in God, hope in God, and love God with all our heart.   Baltimore Catechism Lesson 1

Due to low participation, Youth Group will be on hiatus as we evaluate the needs of our community.  Please pray for our teens and that we can come back with a program that will interest and excite them. If you are interested in giving feedback on what might help us in Youth Ministry, please complete our online survey.  Thank you.

The Mission of our Youth Group program is to help families prepare their teens to fulfill their purpose in life of knowing, loving, and serving God and loving their neighbor as themselves.

The Goals for Ministry with Adolescents are:

1. To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

2. To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community.

3. To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Ministry with adolescents utilizes each of the Church's ministries - advocacy, catechesis, community life, evangelization, justice and service, leadership development, pastoral care, prayer and worship - in an integrated approach to achieve the three goals for ministry.  USCCB Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry

Teenagers in 8th through 12th Grades are invited to attend. While all discussions in Youth Group are based on Catholic teaching, teens of all religious backgrounds are welcome to attend.
