OCIA

Jesus said “You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind and you shall love your neighbor as yourself."   Matthew 22:37 & 39   New American Bible Revised Edition

God made me to know Him, to love Him, and to serve Him in this world, and to be happy with Him forever in heaven. To save our souls, we must believe in God, hope in God, and love God with all our heart.   Baltimore Catechism Lesson 1

The Mission of our OCIA Program is to prepare seekers to fulfill their purpose in life of knowing, loving, and serving God and loving their neighbor as themselves.

OCIA Meetings

Tuesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM

Malin Center Room #103

Sessions begin on August 22nd, 2023 and end on April 23rd, 2024

The order of Christian initiation is designed for adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God's help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation and at the proper time will receive the sacraments fruitfully.

NCCB Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Study Edition

In the sacraments of Christian initiation we are freed from the power of darkness and joined to Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. We receive the Spirit of filial adoption and are part of the entire people of God in the celebration of the memorial of the Lord's death and resurrection.   Vatican Council II, Decree on the Church's Missionary Activity
