Lectors

Goals and Purpose:

Proclaiming the Word of Holy Scripture and the Prayers of the Faithful at daily and weekend Masses.

Responsibilities:

To fulfill monthly assignments for Proclaiming the Word of Holy Scripture.  Monthly schedules are prepared at least two weeks prior to the start of the next month.

Helpful Attributes:

Have a strong voice and prayerful desire to proclaim The Word during Mass.



Requirements:

Lectors should be fully initiated into the Catholic Church (received the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation).  If married, the lector's marriage needs to be recognized by the Church.
