Lazarus Society

Goal

To fulfill the Spiritual Work of Mercy by praying for the dead.

Responsibilities

Comfort the families of the deceased with their presence and prayers at the Funeral or Memorial Masses. Pray daily for the faithful departed and attend funeral Masses. Recite the Rosary for the deceased at the funeral home upon request by the family.

Qualifications

Anyone who feels called to attend parish funerals and pray for the deceased with a compassionate heart.
